What started as an exclusive gathering for young professionals in Manchester has evolved into a highly anticipated evening of glitz, glamour, and giving.
The ManchVegas Oscars Party and Red Carpet Gala is the queen city's premier Oscar night party. Guests dress in their most “red carpet worthy” attire and enjoy star treatment: music, cocktails, celebrity style “swag-bags”, raffles and of course - the Academy Awards.
The members of the 2008 ManchVegas Oscar Committee feel strongly about giving back to the local community. In its first year of public ticket sales, the ManchVegas Oscars Party was able to raise over two thousand dollars for the Salvation Army Kids Cafe. The NH Food Bank serves as the only food bank in our state. Each year the Food Bank distributes over 4 million pounds of donated, surplus food to nearly 350 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, day care centers, senior citizen homes and substance abuse treatment centers. These member agencies in turn provide the food to the over 95,000 hungry men, women and children throughout New Hampshire.
In the spirit of benefiting the NH Food Bank to the maximum extent possible, all guests who bring a can good or nonperishable food item will receive a free Oscar Party Raffle ticket.
The 4th Annual ManchVegas Oscars Party and Red Carpet Gala will be held Sunday, February 24th from 6-11pm at Murphy's Taproom. Included in your ticket price are free appetizers, and if you're one of the first 100 to sign up, a swag bag valued at over $150.00!
